The members of the Organizing Committee for Preparation and Holding of the Eighth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum have been announced. It is made up of representatives of federal executive bodies, relevant industry departments, business associations, and the expert community. Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak has been appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee, which includes heads of ministries and departments overseeing energy, foreign economic and foreign policy activities, representatives of Russia’s gas industry giants, experts in international energy cooperation and geopolitics.

The Roscongress Foundation has received official confirmation that low-carbon electricity was used during the Russian Energy Week International Forum in 2025.

The meeting addressed key organizational and substantive issues related to the preparations for the Forum, as well as the coordination of Russian Energy Week events with the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

The purpose of the document is to implement key priorities of state energy policy and it covers issues related to the sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex, the modernization of the electric power industry, strategic planning, and infrastructure development.

The laureates of the first-ever award recognizing companies in Russia’s fuel-energy and industrial sectors for their achievements in attracting, developing, and supporting personnel were names on Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week International Forum.

The award ceremony for the Global Energy Prize was held at the Zaryadye Concert Hall as part of the Gala Evening commemorating the launch of the Russian Energy Week, hosted by the Roscongress Foundation. This year’s recipients included Vladislav Khomich (Institute of Electrophysics and Electric Power, Russian Academy of Sciences, Russia), Jinliang He (Tsinghua University, China), and Yu Huang (University of California, Los Angeles, USA). Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak presented the Prizes to the laureates. The ceremony was conducted by Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association. Nobel Prize Laureate Rae Kwon Chung, Chairman of the International Global Energy Award Committee, attended as the guest of honour.

An agreement on the transfer of nuclear certificates was signed on 15 October 2025 in Moscow as part of the Russian Energy Week International Forum. The document was signed by Alexander Khvalko, Deputy Director General and Sales Director of Rosenergoatom, and Vladimir Zatynayko, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of Russian Energy Week. It confirms the low-carbon quality of the electricity used during the Forum.

The 8th Russian Energy Week International Forum featured a session titled Oil and Gas Chemistry: An Era of New Opportunities in the Energy Transition. REW 2025 is being held with the support of the Russian Government, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Government of Moscow. It has been organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

Ways to address the key challenges facing the global energy industry took centre stage at the opening session of the 8th Russian Energy Week (REW) International Forum, which began in Moscow on 15 October. The event is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, and the Government of Moscow, and is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the Russian Energy Week 2025 International Forum, which will take place in Moscow on October 15–17.

The ‘Territory of Energy Dialogue 2025’ event will be held as part of the Russian Energy Week International Forum.

Russia has created a new prize for the best employer in the fuel and energy sector to recognize the achievements that companies in leading sectors of the Russian fuel, energy, and industrial complexes have had with attracting, developing, and supporting human resources. Forty-three companies from the chemical, nuclear, fuel, and energy industries submitted applications to take part in the pilot season of the prize. The winners will be awarded during Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week International Forum. Russian Energy Week (REW) is supported by the Russian Government, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow Government and is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
