October 15, 2025

An agreement on the transfer of nuclear certificates was signed on 15 October 2025 in Moscow as part of the Russian Energy Week International Forum. The document was signed by Alexander Khvalko, Deputy Director General and Sales Director of Rosenergoatom, and Vladimir Zatynayko, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of Russian Energy Week. It confirms the low-carbon quality of the electricity used during the Forum.

“In the context of global climate challenges, it is extremely important not only to declare commitment to environmental standards, but also to implement specific tools to confirm them. The transfer of nuclear certificates ensures the transparency and authenticity of the low-carbon status of events held by the Roscongress Foundation. This approach contributes to the formation of a long-term and reliable strategy, demonstrating responsibility to society and future generations,” Vladimir Zatynayko said.

Certificates are transferred via the Thread of Nature platform, which functions as a marketplace for trading carbon units, quotas and electricity certificates of origin. The platform was created for organizations implementing climate projects and seeking to confirm the environmental responsibility of their activities. The Thread of Nature platform is operated by the Roscongress Foundation.

“Nuclear energy makes a significant contribution to the climate goals of businesses and our country as a whole. Thanks to nuclear certificates, companies can confirm that the electricity they consume is provided by low-carbon nuclear energy. The responsible approach taken by the Roscongress Foundation in organizing its events is a prime example of best international green practices,” emphasized Alexander Khvalko, Deputy Director General and Sales Director of Rosenergoatom.

Environmental responsibility is becoming an integral part of modern business and social practices. It is important not only to record indicators, but also to implement real tools to reduce environmental impact.
