The
architecture of the business programme for the seventh edition of Russian
Energy Week has been approved.
The event will take place at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow on
15–17 October. The central theme of REW 2025 is Building the Energy of the
Future Together. This year, Russian Energy Week will once again be held across
two venues: the Manege Central Exhibition Hall will host the business
programme, while Gostiny Dvor will feature an Exhibition of Equipment and
Technologies for the Fuel and Energy Industry. Leading manufacturers, equipment
suppliers, and technology companies from across the industry will present
promising projects, breakthrough innovations, advanced equipment, and
cutting-edge technologies to a broad professional audience specializing in the
extraction, processing, transport, transmission, and distribution of energy
resources. Russian Energy Week is supported by the Government of the Russian
Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow
City Government. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
The Forum’s business programme will include around 30 events divided
into thematic pillars: International Cooperation; Technology as a Key Driver of
Energy Development; Sustainable Development: Adapting to the New Reality; and
Russia’s Fuel and Energy Industry: Development Strategy. As per tradition, the
Territory of Energy Dialogue scientific and practical conference will take
place during REW. The programme will also include the award ceremony for the
Global Energy Prize, which recognizes outstanding research and scientific and
technological achievements that improve the efficiency and environmental safety
of energy sources for the benefit of all humanity. Russian Energy Week will
conclude with its traditional Youth Day.
“Over the
years, REW has become a landmark international industry platform, attracting
key players from the energy sector across the globe. This year’s business
programme addresses all the most pressing challenges facing global energy,
while the special exhibition of fuel and energy sector technologies, held for
the second time, will showcase major achievements by Russian scientists and
developers. I’m confident that the discussions within REW’s business programme
will draw greater public attention to pressing energy issues, and that the
Forum will once again bring together leading figures in Russia’s energy market,
as well as international representatives, government officials, experts, and
media to discuss the industry’s future in a changing world,” said Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander
Novak.
One of the central topics at this year’s Russian Energy Week will be the
Energy Strategy until 2050, adopted by the Russian Government. It sets out two
main priorities: securing the domestic energy market and realizing export
potential. The key event of the business programme will be the plenary session.
Special attention will be given to nuclear energy in connection with the
industry’s 80th anniversary. A large-scale exhibition of nuclear technologies
and equipment is planned at the Gostiny Dvor venue.
“This year,
participants at REW will discuss the initial stages of implementing the Energy
Strategy until 2050, which outlines Russia’s long-term goals amid global
challenges, the energy transition, digitalization, technological change, and
rising demand. The strategy anticipates a 20% increase in global energy demand
by 2050. International cooperation in the energy sector will also receive
significant attention. I’m certain REW will once again serve as a key venue for
the international energy dialogue we need today,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation
and Executive Secretary of the REW 2025 Organizing Committee.
The REW business programme will be split between the Manege Central
Exhibition Hall and Gostiny Dvor, and will cover several key areas: oil, gas,
and coal; electric power; digital technologies; scientific and technological
development of the energy sector; the climate agenda; energy security; and
more.
International cooperation will play a prominent role at this year’s Forum. REW 2025 will host the Russia–OPEC Energy Dialogue, with particular focus on energy cooperation between Russia and Africa. Participants will also discuss expanding collaboration among BRICS countries and the development of equitable energy systems in the SCO and ASEAN regions.
