Industry leaders announced the launch
of Digital Horizon, a new synergistic project for the development of the national
economy, at the Russian Energy Week International Forum 2024 in Moscow.
‘Digital Horizon’ integrates the
best practices of the private and public sectors to more effectively develop
and implement new technologies in the national interest and ensure the
independence and security of critical infrastructure. More than just a platform
for exchanging ideas, it will serve as a centre where strategies are created
and implemented to change the country’s digital landscape.
The main advantage of the new ecosystem
is its strong founders representing key sectors of the economy in the form of
microelectronics manufacturer NTC Module, IT leader Fplus, and the Avangard design
and installation centre – from microelectronics to the design and integration
of high-tech solutions. The Roscongress Foundation provides information support
to the ecosystem at major business events in Russia and abroad.
“Digital Horizon is the next step in
the process of integrating advanced solutions and developing key sectors of the
economy. Interaction between the state and business as part of this project
will make it possible to meet the challenges of digital transformation and
ensure the sustainability of critical national infrastructure. The future belongs
to those who control information. Russia is giving form to this digital horizon
now and creating new opportunities to strengthen the country technologically,” Roscongress Foundation Chairman of
the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev.
Two roundtable discussions were held
under the auspices of Digital Horizon as part of REW 2024, with participants of
the ‘Special Aspects and Features of the Introduction of AI Solutions at Fuel
and Energy Companies’ discussing digital solutions based on artificial
intelligence and their application. Experts included Member of the Federation
Council Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on
Constitutional Legislation and State Building Artem Sheikin, Founder and
General Director of Cyberphysics Sergey Nikolaev, and Head of Implementation
and Project Service of NTC Module Khalil El-Hajj.
Import substitution was also
discussed in relation to the security of critical information infrastructure in
Russia and the transition to Russian software and equipment during the session
‘Ensuring the Security of Critical Information Infrastructure Facilities in the
Modern Realities’. Participants included Director for Information
Infrastructure at State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Evgeny Abakumov, Vice
President of Transneft Andrey Badalov, Head of the Department of Information
Technology, Automation and Telecommunications at Gazprom Neft Anton Dumin, and
representatives of other companies.
REW 2024 is
being held on 26–28 September in Moscow at two venues, with the main business
programme events taking place at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall and the
Gostiny Dvor hosting the Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Fuel
and Energy Industry. The main theme of the 2024 Forum is ‘Energy Cooperation in
a Multipolar World’. More than 20 sessions with upwards of 70 speakers have
been planned for the engineering and technical personnel of energy companies on
the sidelines of the Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Fuel and
Energy Industry.
Russian Energy Week is being held
with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of
Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow City Government. It is organized
by the Roscongress Foundation.
